Well, I wasn’t going to mention it but yes, I was also given an assignment. I’m being sent to Jamkaran and they were so kind as to provide me with a really nice vest with pockets for the lenses, batteries and other camera stuff. I was a bit puzzled when my Persian friends told me the back of the vest says in reflective print: “Baha’i Infidel”.

I’m really looking forward to the sights and sounds of Qom.

That’s nice for Ryan. Have you been offered an assignment yet, Baquia? I’ve just been given a couple of weeks in Gaza to poke around and take lots of photos. I think I must be part of the same Baha’i Blogging Corps as Ryan, because I got a nice jacket with “BBC” written on the front and back. They only gave me a one-way ticket, but they explained that “anything can happen” on these assignments. Maybe I’ll like it so much, I won’t want to leave, right?
