Baquia,

I think your next blog post should me entitled "MORE OF THE SHAME" instead of "SAME". Get it?! And then do an update on the Larry Rowe situation under that heading.

I, myself, am going to go to bat for him in any way I can. I just can't take it anymore. I read the PDF KGB document link here. Absolutely shameful! Thank God I did not get fully into cyber space until recently and had never seen these writings until now. It is massively disillusioning. And to think I once thought we were the hope of the world. I did not know that it had gotten this bad. That it had come to this! Just unbelievable! These people are insane.

Angst,

When I was out in L.A. some time back I met some guys who had a movie script they were pitching called "Club Dead". I don't know if they got a deal or not. I think they did. Maybe it has already been made. I thought "Damn! Why didn't I think of that title? A natural for a schlock low budget horror film!"

Now you have given me an entirely new perspective. Perhaps a version along the lines of "The Sixth Sense" only everyone is dead but the audience has to figure out who was really alive all along. People from different religions and spiritual paths. You have to figure out whose karma is all off track. Who is still alive and who is spiritually dead. Club Dead II.

I think the Baha'i Faith if it is going to survive will eventually go to some kind of individual holistic spiritually organic form like you mention here.

People holding a spiritual meeting for their community every month at a coffee shop or in a park somewhere that never mentions the Faith by name. Ever. Just an organic spiritual discussion meeting. No hidden agenda to convert people to anything. If we would have done that, we would have been incredibly succesful.

For my own sanity I have a guest Guardian in my mind at all times. I try to have them speak to me in my mind about the Writings as they see it. My regulars are often the Dali Lama and George Carlin. Sometimes I pull figures from history. The spirt of Lucy found in the gorge is really good. It gets very cinematic with her. She always says "Look at the Sunset. It is ancient."

Likwise with picking nine people you have read or met or personally know to be the UHJ in you mind that month. Likewise with the NSA of the United States. I do this to try to maintain my sanity. To keep my spirits up.

My personal UHJ in my mind has allot of Renaissance philosophers on it. My historical prejudice. But it is my own mind so I think I can imagiine this. Unless it is now against the Ruhi Training. Are we allowed to imagine things like this? Our own imaginary UHJ and NSA with advanced writers and thinkers from history? I get allot of insights from them as they try to explain the Faith to me.

Dear Baquia,

I read your erased reply and it is a very accurate description of the situation regarding LSA's. My own recommendation for years has been to disband them completely and replace them with monthly discussions open to the whole community and even to non-Baha'is. This might reinvigorate things until such time as the faith really has matured. But the Faith is just too club-like. Club Dead.

Also, you deserve an award for reading Bahai Live Journal.
(Hmm, maybe I'll give you one my site.)
