Summer Breeze

dandelion-summer.pngYes, of course. You’re wondering what happened to your intrepid blogger. Did a misstep cause a temporary residence in a well? Or perhaps an abduction by aliens? or worse yet an insistent Ruhi collaborator who wouldn’t take no for an answer?

I’m afraid my life isn’t so melodramatic.

The only explanation I can offer is this: it is summer.

I know that will not be enough to mollify my 3 readers. But what can I say but the truth?

Which reminds me, what are you doing here? I mean, it is summer! The birds are chirping, the grass is green, the dandelions are waiting to be puffed out and much frolicking is on the agenda. Get to it.

If you insist on being cooped up in doors and reading a blog (blech!) then fine, I’ll see what energy I can muster to do a few updates.

But you should really do something about that frolicking. Its backing up in your agenda and that can’t be good for productivity.

    Hi Baquia,

Don’t limit your frolicking on account of me.
Unfortunately ( in a sense) I live in Tucson and summer is, generally, not the outdoorsy time here. Unless one is a fan of heatstroke.

That being said – don’t do extra blogging on account of me.
You’ve been working hard and I take it that in your part of the world summer means something like grass and meadows, watery bits and colorful flying and chirping doo-hickies and so forth.

Enjoy . . . you’ve got plenty of archived stuff for me to search through.

    Thanks.
    Love,
    Brian

    Hi Baquia,

And this third of your readership is in the southern hemisphere, where it’s currently winter. Frolicking comes just before frostbite, and not just in the dictionary.

Bahais Online has been encouraged to take a mid-winter break due either to a denial of service attack or a web host that didn’t like how busy the site was getting.

    But it’ll be back.

Good point Steve. The internet is 24/7/365 and it is everywhere. Hope you are keeping warm over there. It doesn’t actually snow, does it?

    Brian,
thanks for the kind words. All I meant is that life is meant to be lived. And you’re right, there is quite a bit of content in the blog. Maybe I should implement an easier way to get at it.

You have at least four readers, dear Blogger. And what with the “downing’ of Steve’s website, where are we to turn for thought-provoking Baha’i news and views? Thanks for reminding me to go outside and enjoy smelling the flowers…I need to hear that more often!
